Todd's Toy Drive

On November 19th against Duke, NC State Hockey is partnering with Raleigh Iceplex and Todd's Toys to host a Toy Drive in Honor of Todd and Sawyer who's lives were tragically cut short.

Todd Isaac was a very kind and generous man that donated time and money to the Helping Hand Mission of Raleigh, a charity that helps give to children that are underprivileged. Todd unfortunately lost his life in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11th, 2001. Damon Beaty and friends of Todd began the charity Todd’s Toys to raise money and toys for underprivileged children in his name.

Earlier this year a close friend of Damon lost his eight year old son to cancer. Sawyer was also an incredibly special person who was taken from his family and friends too soon. In an attempt to honor Sawyer, as well as remember Todd, Damon officially launched the Todd and Sawyer's Toy Drive and NC State Hockey is honored to have the opportunity to help Todd’s Toys.

We hope that you can help by donating a gift to bring joy to a child in our community who is less fortunate. There are no rules about the gifts. Boy or girl toys for any age. Nothing is too small. Todd’s Toys have discovered over the years that there are not a lot of gifts for older girls (ages 9-17).

If you’re looking for ideas, these are a few items donated in past years: Journals, candles, jewelry, purses, backpacks, scarves, pajamas. We will deliver the gifts to the Helping Hand Mission on December 23rd to be given out on Christmas Eve.

Please DO NOT WRAP the gifts so that this can be done after they have been chosen for each child. The Helping Hand Mission would be grateful for anyone who can volunteer on Christmas Eve. They can always use more help.

If you are out of town and would like to participate, the gifts can be mailed or we can do the shopping if it is more convenient. A check can be sent or PayPal can be used for those who prefer to use credit/debit cards. The Paypal account is
